Resilient Northern Infrastructure
Our Solutions

Built for Northern Realities, Owned in the North
Standard IT models force Northern organizations to rely on distant southern datacenters or bloated, high-maintenance cloud platforms. When physical infrastructure fails or connectivity cuts off, your operations stop.
We build and manage localized, enterprise-grade server environments designed specifically for the North. We own our infrastructure, keep your data strictly within Northern borders, and deliver total operational stability.
The Cree IT Strategy: A Community-Oriented Northern Network
We reject the idea that the North needs a massive, energy-intensive, centralized datacenter. That model doesn’t fit the geographic or environmental realities of Northern communities.
Instead, our strategy centers on distributed computing power:
-
Right-Sized Local Footprints: We deploy smaller, highly efficient compute and storage footprints directly within Northern communities.
-
Environmental & Resource Protection: By avoiding massive datacenters, we minimize power draw and environmental impact while delivering maximum local performance.
-
True Regional Sovereignty: Your data never leaves the North. It is generated, processed, stored, and backed up entirely within our region—completely removing reliance on southern datacenters.
The Foundation: Uncompromising Stability
We build our environments using Proxmox, a powerful, Linux-based hypervisor. We choose this foundation because it provides the ultimate flexibility and rock-solid stability required for Northern deployments. It allows us to tailor the infrastructure perfectly to your specific operational needs without being locked into restrictive, proprietary software ecosystems. Whether your organization's VMs need to run Windows, Linux, or any other operating system, we handle the administration, security, and maintenance directly inside the VM itself.
Multi-Tiered Disaster Recovery
Disaster recovery in the North requires more than simple daily copies. It demands a multi-layer strategy designed to keep your organization running even during severe local disruptions or hardware failures.
1. On-Site Local Protection (Rapid Recovery)
We deploy a dedicated Proxmox Backup Server (PBS) directly inside your facility—available to rent or own outright. This appliance takes fast, continuous backups of your entire infrastructure. If a file is deleted or an operational system fails, restoration happens locally at high speed without touching external bandwidth.

2. Multi-Site Local Redundancy
Local backups are automatically synchronized offsite to multiple secure, physical locations within The NWT. This ensures that even a local physical disaster at your primary office (fire, flood, or power failure) leaves your data fully intact nearby.
3. Cross-Regional Offsite Vaulting (Regional Resilience)
For ultimate disaster protection, your backup data is replicated cross-regionally to independent secondary server infrastructure in other Northern communities.
If your primary facility suffers a total loss, we can spin up a live virtual replica of your entire operation on our secondary regional servers. Your staff gets immediate remote access to critical systems while physical hardware is repaired or replaced.
Managed Server Operations & Complete Peace of Mind

We don’t just supply hardware and walk away. We manage the full lifecycle of your server environment under direct Service Level Agreements (SLAs):
-
Monthly Backup Execution & Verification: Backups are executed continuously and verified every single month to guarantee data integrity.
-
Full In-VM Administration: We handle maintenance, patches, and troubleshooting inside your VMs, regardless of the operating system.
-
Flexible Hardware Deployment: Own your server infrastructure outright or utilize our turnkey monthly hardware rentals (PBS/PVE).
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Hypervisor?
A hypervisor is the core operating layer installed directly onto a physical server. Think of it as a secure master supervisor. It takes the full hardware capacity of a server and divides it into independent, isolated digital environments.
What is a Virtual Machine (VM)?
A Virtual Machine is a self-contained computer running inside that hypervisor. Each VM acts as its own separate server with its own operating system (Windows, Linux, or specialized software).
Why do you lead with Proxmox?
Proxmox gives you the most control. It allows us to partition one physical server into many "virtual" ones. This means your file server, your database, and your legacy apps are all isolated. If one has an issue, the others are unaffected.
Do you provide support after the sale?
Absolutely. While we give you full control, we also offer managed support tiers where we monitor your server's health, manage backups, and perform updates so you don't have to.
What happens if the hardware fails?
We build with redundancy in mind. Our server builds typically include redundant power and storage (RAID). If a component fails, the system stays up, and we can replace the part with minimal to no disruption.
